The soprano RONJA
WEYHENMEYER was born and raised in Germany. Italian Belcanto attracted her to
Rome. There, she studied at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory with
Prof. E. Salucci and finished her Bachelor of Music with honors. In
2017 she became a member of the Opera Laboratorio, Roma Sinfonietta
in Rome, where she had her 2018 debut as "La Marchesa" (N.
Piccinni) . Recently she is continuing her studies with
Sylvia Koncza at the HMDK Stuttgart. She
continues to develop her musical and singing skills under the
guidance of Elizabeth Norberg Schulz. Other important
influences were given by Edda Moser, Luciana Serra and Bruno Taddia.
2021 she will perform Adele at the Theatre Bergisch Gladbach. After opera and
Baroque music, she is passionately dedicated to chamber music. As an active
singer she participated in several festivals, like Festival di
Montepulciano, Teatro di Senigallia, Valletta International Baroque
Festival in Rome in the Teatro Italia and the Musikkometfestival. She
was and is part of choirs and ensembles, e. g,
"Cappella Musicale di Campitelli", baroque ensemble in Rome.
