Andrea Salvi


Andrea Salvi obtained his diplomas in Flute and Chamber music under the guidance of Leonardo Angeloni and Roberto Galletto at the Conservatory of music "Santa Cecilia" of Rome. He specialized in the Netherlands with Rien de Reede und Thies Roorda. He got, magna cum laude, his master degree at the Conservatory of music "Nicola Sala" of Benevento under the guidance of Giuseppe Pelura. Additionally he deepened his studies by attending master classes in Flute (Mario Caroli, János Bálint) and Chamber music (Giuliano Balestra, Bernard Fauchet, Adèle Auriol e Marialena Fernandes). Andrea Salvi is working actively as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician (Tuscia Opera Festival Symphony Orchestra, Freon Ensemble, Metadiapason Ensemble, etc.), with particurarly attention to contemporary music repertoire. His musical career led him to perform in important musical institutions in Italy and abroad (USA, Sri Lanka, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland) and as well to national TV and radio broadcasts . He won awards in chamber music such as "Dinu Lipatti" international competitions, "Anemos" international competions, "Ferdinando Carulli" national competitions". He had the honour to perform in a private concert for H. H. pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican Radio. He also plays piccolo, alto flute and bass flute
